Borgo Marina - The Fishermen's Neighbourhood

Inhabited settlement established around 1833 and located around the canal harbour in Cervia, to accommodate fishermen from various parts of the Upper Adriatic area.

Il Tappeto Sospeso Fountain - The suspended carpet

Built in 1997 to celebrate the three hundredth anniversary of Cervia Nuova’s foundation, the fountain was designed by the Romagna poet Tonino Guerra.

Torre Salt Storehouse

The Salt Storehouses can be considered as the most interesting example of industrial architecture in Cervia's territory, nowadays a very evocative venue for exhibitions, shows and events.

San Michele Tower

Saint Michael's Tower stands in Cervia's historical centre and dates back to 1691, before the founding of New Cervia, when it was built to defend the town from Turks and Saracens.

Access gate to the south and station along the Po Delta Park, Cervia’s Salt Pan is regarded as highly interesting from a naturalistic and landscape viewpoint.

The Pinewood of Cervia - Milano Marittima

The pinewood of Cervia Milano Marittima was in the past the southern offshoot of a large, peculiar forest area which stretched from the southern bank of the river Reno to the town of Cervia. At present its extention covers 260 hectares plus 30 hectares of the Natural Park.

Birdwatching Po Delta Park

A natural reserve where avocets, blackwinged stilts, seagulls, mallards and many other species make their nests.

Natural Park

The 27-hectare large pinewood area called Cervia Natural Park was opened in 1963 with the aim to safeguard a considerable part of this typical natural environment, making it particularly available and enjoyable to visitors.

The origins of Cervia were based on the salt and the sea, while Milano Marittima's ones were inspired by the project of a garden city. Their past is rich in history and traditions that are constantly revived thanks to Cervia's Ecomuseum of Salt and Sea.
