Spit of fried mussel

Ingredients

for 4 persons:

  • 1 kg. mussels
  • Flour
  • 1 egg
  • Breadcrumbs
  • salt

 

Preparation

Clean and wash the mussels well. Put them into a closed pot with water and wait until the mussels are opened. As soon as they are opened, take them away from the stove, let the mussels cool down and remove then the valve.
Skewer now 5 or 6 mussels on a spit, which was first dipped into the water. Put the spits into the flour and then into the beaten, salten egg and at the end into the breadcrumbs.
Fry the spits in boiled oil. After that let the spits drain well.
Dish a bit of salt over it and then the spits are ready to serve.
