Piero Focaccia - singer
A popular singer born in Cervia, thanks to his most important successes he reached the top positions in the national hit parade.
He began his artistic career by signing a contract with CGD and by winning the final of a competition for new voices thanks to which his single "Il Pappagallo" entered the international market.
In the summer of 1963, unexpectedly, but worthy of merit, he reached success with a song written by Mogol and Soffici "Stessa spiaggia stesso mare", one of today's classics from the carefree 60s.
Another great success came in 1970 with "Permette Signora" which made Focaccia become a myth of music in that period.
