In Forli, Pre-Raphaelite Exhibition at the San Domenico Museums
Pre-Raphaelites, Modern Renaissance
From 24th February to 30th June 2024
The exhibition aims to reconstruct the profound impact of historical Italian art on the British Pre-Raphaelite movement between the 1840s and the 1920s. The works, exhibited in the splendid rooms of the Museo Civico San Domenico in Forlì, will be on display from 24th February to 30th June 2024.
The exhibition includes over 300 works and is characterised by an extensive international collaboration with museums and experts from England and the United States.
Representing the new renaissance, a modern renaissance, will be all the great artists who in the first and second phase of the Pre-Raphaelite movement referred to the current: from Dante Gabriel Rossetti to the English painter Ford Madox Brown to Frederic Leighton.
