Aperitif with Fishermen
A walk and stories in the BorgoMarina
History, fishing techniques and traditions
Guided tour of the Borgo dei Pescatori with stories on the history, fishing techniques and traditions of the Cervia maritime.
On summer evenings, Cervia's canal port is the protagonist with its vitality, artistic and typical handicraft markets, the flavours of seafood cuisine to be enjoyed under the open sky, and beautiful walks.
The Aperitif with the Fishermen returns punctually every Thursday from June to August, at 5 p.m.
A guided tour in the company of local testimonials, departing from the San Michele Tower along the canal to discover the history and traditions of Cervia's fishing industry.
The tour ends with a visit to the Circolo Pescatori (Fishermen's Circle) after touching on the Fishermen's Monument, designed by Carlo Nava, located next to the Fish Market.
The Fishermen's Circle, formerly the site of the wholesale fish market, is now a meeting place and place for preserving maritime traditions. Inside, it exhibits an important historical memory with some photos, objects and ceramic reproductions of traditional sails from whose colours and designs it was possible to recognise the captains and crews from afar.
The walk ends with an aperitif in company and a small seafood tasting.
The walk is realised with the contribution of people from Cervia, who are great connoisseurs of the history and traditions of the fishing village.
The tour is only in Italian
