Pedalling with sunset aperitif
Sunset bicycle excursion to the Camillone Saltworks, an ancient saltworks where salt is still harvested by hand by salt miners using the methods and tools of the past.
Afterwards, along the new cycle path that runs through the heart of the Salina and surrounded by views of water and sky, we reach the Locanda Acervum to enjoy an aperitif with typical products.
The excursion is in Italian language
How the excursion unfolds
Departing from the Visitor Centre, together with an expert guide, you will cycle along an internal stretch of the Salina until you reach the Camillone Salina.
Along the way, equipped with binoculars and together with the environmental guides, you can admire the various animal species that populate this naturalistic oasis. Along the cycle path you make a few stops, climb up to the watchtower to observe from above a unique panorama, which at sunset offers marvellous colours!
The excursion ends at the Locanda Acervum with an aperitif: a mixed platter of Mora Romagnola cured meats accompanied by piadina or focaccia, cold meats and cheeses, all with salt as the ‘magic’ ingredient, accompanied by a glass of Sangiovese or a glass of salt beer.
A perfect combination of nature and culinary tradition, while the sun disappears over the horizon.
