From 1st to 31th July, the 73rd summer solo exhibition of the Romagna master Werther Morigi (1915-1990) entitled "La Grazia del pennello, la rima del Werther" (The Grace of the Paintbrush, the Rhyme of Werther). The exhibition displays twenty-six works celebrating the connection with the writer Grazia Deledda.
The works, created between 1936 and 1986, are inspired by the Nobel Prize winner Grazia Deledda, who came to Cervia in 1920 in search of a calm place surrounded by nature where she could stay, later making it her second city of the heart.
The oil paintings, tempera paintings and frescoes that Morigi painted not only highlight the master's painting technique, but also his deep bond with Deledda, born through numerous journeys and stays between Nuoro, Rome and Cervia.
The exhibition is complemented by documents, anecdotes and testimonies by personalities linked to Morigi and Deledda, including Lina Sacchetti, Franz Madesani Deledda, (Augusto Ricci) Trucolo, Marino Moretti and Antonio Baldini.
