The Hague Air Gallery – Painted Wind

ARTEVENTO preview, exhibition and workshops

from 4th April to 3rd May 2026

CERVIA - Torre Salt Warehouse

The exhibition entitled “The Hague Air Gallery – Painted Wind”, dedicated to the Netherlands and chosen by Artevento, the International Kite Festival, to kick off its 46th edition, opens on 4 April at the Magazzino del Sale Torre. The exhibition, which is sponsored by the Embassy and Consulate General of the Netherlands, will preview the historic festival, which will take place from 23 April to 3 May on Pinarella beach, during the Easter weekend.

The exhibition showcases, for the first time in Italy, an extraordinary collection of 17 Japanese Edo-style kites painted by Dutch artists. First presented in flight on Scheveningen beach (The Hague) in 1987, it reconstructs the genesis of a project destined to have a decisive impact on the international art scene, promoting the development of a current of environmental art that identifies the wind as its interlocutor, creating a new dynamic relationship between the work, nature and the viewer.
