The Magazzino del Sale Torre becomes the setting for the preview of Artevento, the International Kite Festival, now in its 45th edition.
Creative Easter becomes a special occasion for a weekend at the seaside, to admire and be fascinated by the colours and shapes of the kites on display, true artistic works created by masters of the wind from different parts of the world.
From 19th to 21st April, ARTEVENTO CERVIA 2025 dedicates its Easter weekend preview to the presentation for the first time in Europe of the complete work of the greatest contemporary wind artist from the Far East: the Indonesian Kadek Armika.
A visionary sculptor of multidimensional structures inspired by the plant world, Kadek Armika presents ‘Balance and Harmony’ to the public.
At the Magazzino del Sale, Armika is preparing to exhibit the most comprehensive synthesis of his work: from the display of the leaf series, to the abstract series, to sculptures, to video documents and a series inspired by the theme of plastic recycling, together with more exotic works inspired by Indonesian folklore themes.
Also on the programme are creative workshops for adults and children
The Magazzino del Sale also hosts workshops with the artist for adults and children called ‘Club Kintaro’, scheduled from 19 to 21 April.
Through creative activities with Kadek Armika, the Japanese Makoto Ohye and the festival director Caterina Capelli herself, the little ones will learn the rudiments of the art of wind, while the Polish Alicja Szalska will teach adults step by step how to build a professional kite using a domestic sewing machine.
