Festival dedicated to the local thistle, which has excellent depurative and antioxidant properties.

Cervia Thistle is a food for connoisseurs because it is produced in small quantities and it's only eaten during the winter, that is why Cervia town is dedicating a real food and wine festival to it again this year!
It will also be possible to taste and buy innovative products linked to this particular sand vegetable with important nutritional and energetic qualities, rich in vitamin C and vitamin B5, such as herbal teas, liqueurs, jams, and patés.

Cervia - Garibaldi Square
10.30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
On the last weekend of January, from morning to evening, Garibaldi Square is transformed into a food market. From noon on both days, the booth invites you to enjoy thistle prepared by talented local chefs who will add a touch of innovation to tradition.
Enjoy typical dishes made with hunchback thistle: fried thistles, crostoni with thistle, thistle-based pasta dishes and other specialties.
Aperitifs at the Baita del Cardo
From 6.30 p.m., again in Garibaldi Square, the Baita del Cardo (Thistle lodge) instead offers aperitifs with drinks and food based on thistle.
A novelty to savor this precious vegetable in all its variations.

Thistle Acădemia
Three evenings to explore and discover thistle-based recipes
Cookery courses to discover traditional as well as innovative and easy-to-prepare dishes.
The evenings are held at the Officine del Sale (Via Evangelisti, 2 - Cervia), from 7 to 9 p.m:

Over the course of the three evenings, the chefs will prepare a dish in which the cardoon will be the protagonist.

A Spass par Zirvia
Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th January sees the return of A Spass par Zirvia, the appointment of every last Sunday of the month.
In the historic centre of Cervia, along Viale Roma, craft and food stands with typical products from various parts of Italy will be set up.
Shows and musical events enliven the atmosphere of the historic centre for the entire weekend.
