The Christmas Concert with the Young Musicians European Orchestra returns to Cervia.
One of the best European youth ensembles, now present in Italy and abroad, with projects touching all continents.
The traditional Christmas Concert promoted by Emilia Romagna Concerti takes on particular importance this year because of its many implications in the field of solidarity, diplomacy and interreligious dialogue.
On the musical side, there will be novelties and confirmations, two important new entries: Vietnamese conductor Nhat Minh Tran and soloist Ion Mihahil
Nhat Minh Tran studied conducting in Europe and also specialised in Italian opera as an assistant to Maestro Paolo Olmi. He is the musical director of the Saigon Opera and in 2023 he also conducted an important concert of Vietnamese and Italian music at the Quirinale Palace in the presence of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.
Ion Mihail, a great musician linked to the Young Musicians European Orchestra, recently performed as a soloist in our territory. An imaginative musician and recognised as an outstanding violinist of his generation, he has the privilege of playing with one of the very few Stradivari violins in the world dating back to 1730.
Every year until 2022 the Christmas concert, after the preview in Cervia and various replicas throughout Romagna, was also performed in the Holy Land; from 2023 this is no longer possible due to the war, so this year Emilia Romagna Concerti and the orchestra have decided to recover relations with their Palestinian musicians by inviting four of them to take part in the concerts.
