Raduno del Passatore sailing race
In 1971 the first Passatore was launched, a boat produced until 1983 by the Cantiere Nautico Sartini of Cervia in 136 examples.
The boat represents a unique example of mass production for a wooden boat. Solid, well-finished and elegant, yet accessible to all, it is also a boast and an example of Romagna's ingenuity.
In 2007, the municipality of Cervia awarded the Passatore the prestigious title of 'Boat of Historical Interest'. To date, it is estimated that there are over 50 still sailing and are the pride of many boat owners.
For sailing enthusiasts, the weekend continues on Sunday 25th August with the Dawn Sailing, open to all sailing boats.
The sailing race is competitive, starting in front of the port of Cervia.
