The zuppa inglese (trifle), among the traditional desserts of Romagna, is a timeless spoon dessert, which has become a great classic and whose adjective - English - is still much disputed.
It is a dessert made with custard, sponge cake or ladyfingers soaked in alchermes or rosolio.
